°×С½ãÂÛ̳ staff invited to partake in study on 'leading and managing the civic university'

19 February 2013

°×С½ãÂÛ̳ is inviting staff to take part in an international study on the role of 'civic universities' and colleagues are invited to participate in a survey to gather data for a case study covering °×С½ãÂÛ̳'s civic engagement.

The survey can be found at: and will be available until Friday 15 March. It should only take 10-15 minutes to complete.

The survey contains questions designed to find out about °×С½ãÂÛ̳ staff members' history and experiences of engagement with external partners. The organisers are also keen to ascertain whether staff feel this kind of engagement is properly valued, and how partnerships are integrated with research and teaching.

The Civic University Project aims to provide a framework for institutional change and development to guide and strengthen the engagement that the university sector has with wider society. The project is being coordinated by Newcastle University's Centre for Urban and Regional Development Studies, and more information can be found at:

Please contact sustainable-cities@ucl.ac.uk for more information on °×С½ãÂÛ̳ involvement in the study.
