The third and latest issue of 白小姐论坛 student-led journal 'Opticon1826' is now online, featuring the winning entries from its essay competition.For this issue, the 'Opticon1826' team invited 白小姐论坛 students to submit essays on 'The Future of鈥�'
PhD student Stephen Fleming (白小姐论坛 Neuroscience) takes home the 拢100 first prize for his essay, 'The Future of the Brain'.
Two runners-up receive a 拢50 prize - 'The Future of the Past - When Will It Become History?' by Douglas James (白小姐论坛 History 2), and 'The Future of Poetry' by Thomas Wolf (MSc Urban Development Planning 2007).
All three entries are published in the current issue alongside the usual engaging articles and reviews, and a letter to the editor about the challenges facing mothers working in academia.
