°×С½ãÂÛ̳ Research Challenges, the initiative to find new research ideas from the °×С½ãÂÛ̳ community, has received many suggestions of research themes from staff, students and alumni. As the end of the first phase of the project comes closer, the decision is approaching of which themes to take forward and invite project proposals for.

Professor Jo Wolff, who chairs the Research Challenges Board, said: "The project seems to have caught the imagination of whole community, and it's wonderful that we've already had about 30 suggestions. In a few weeks we will have the difficult task of narrowing down the suggestions to a shortlist of around five or six. We'd really like to know what people think of the ideas that are up there at the moment, so the more comments people make, the better."
