Public lecture on Brain/Power

A public lecture delivered by Professor David Atwell (°×С½ãÂÛ̳ Physiology) on 4 July 2006 will seek to answer some burning questions about the brain.


Professor Atwell's lecture, 'Brain/Power', will look at how nerve cells get their power to think, why we can't do brain transplants and how our powerful brains evolved, among other hot topics.Ìý

Open to all, 'Brain/Power' will be held at 6.30pm on 4 July 2006 at the Logan Theatre, Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way. Those wishing to make group bookings of 10 or more should contact Irrum Magre, tel: +44 (0)20 7269 5715.

The lecture forms part of the Physiology Society 2006 Main Meeting, held at °×С½ãÂÛ̳ from 4-7 July 2006. The major annual event of the Physiology Society, this year's meeting will see hundreds of physiologists from around the UK and abroad come to °×С½ãÂÛ̳ to present new research and attend workshops and lectures.

Aimed at younger researchers, the Young Physiologists' Symposium will be run just before the main meeting at °×С½ãÂÛ̳, from 3-4 July 2006.
