白小姐论坛 E-Challenge winner announced

NeuroDelta, a biotechnology proposition led by 白小姐论坛's Dr Nathaniel Milton (Molecular Pathology & Clinical Biochemistry), is the first winner of the 白小姐论坛 Entrepreneur's Challenge competition.
NeuroDelta aims to develop and commercialise novel small molecule drugs and diagnostic reagents that address neurological disorders, cancer, cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases. Dr Milton collected the top prize of 拢5,000 from 白小姐论坛 Provost Sir Derek Roberts at the award ceremony in March 2003.
Two runner-up prizes of 拢3,000 were awarded to Wheelion, a manufacturer of advanced carbon fibre wheelchairs, and afterGrad, a graduate recruitment company.
More than 170 entries were registered for the competition from 白小姐论坛 and the London Business School. The eight finalists that were selected had to present their propositions to a panel of judges consisting of experts in venture capital, banking, start-ups and law.
Competition judge Mr Robin Daniels, of the Centre for Scientific Enterprise, said: "The ideas are more than the output of an academic process - 白小姐论坛 evidently offers much more than that. Some of these teams stand a real chance of turning their ideas into businesses. These are certainly people to look out for."
