The conference concentrated on the comparatively understudied areas of moviegoing in rural settlements, smaller cities and towns, itinerant exhibition, and non-theatrical and non-commercial exhibition. The historical span of the conference ranged from the post-nickelodeon era up to the latter half of the 20th century.
Contributions from °×С½ãÂÛ̳ academics included 'Looking for the Message: Home of the Brave, Lost Boundaries and the Atlanta Daily World' by Miss Arlene Hui (History) and Dr Stokes' 'Race, Reception and Popular Culture in America, c1902-1915'.
