The IOE Teacher Education College is dedicated to improving lives through education. And our Master’s programmes, taught by world-class specialists, aim to do just that.

They allow education practitioners to become specialists: to deepen their knowledge, reflect on their practice and bring the very latest in cutting-edge research and thinking to your school. 

As the world’s leading centre for research and teaching in education and social sciences, we are uniquely placed to do this. The IOE undertakes around 25% of all funded education research in the UK. In the most recent Research Excellence Framework, 94% of our research was judged world-class.

Our taught courses, specifically aimed at teachers, cover all stages and aspects of education. Our subject Master’s enable intensive study of the latest developments in curriculum and pedagogy across all the main secondary school subjects – allowing students to go further into their chosen field and develop their suitability for successful subject leadership.

The taught courses are designed to cover all stages and aspects of education and educational practice: linguistics; social justice; special and inclusive education; and the psychology of education and specific learning difficulties, to name but a few. We also offer subject Master’s in all the main fields, allowing your teachers to go further into their chosen field and work towards successful subject leadership, bringing added value to your school.
